How do I know if I’m feeding my puppy enough? Let’s read

1. The best indicator is your puppy’s Body Condition Score (BCS) and their growth rate.

2. You should be able to easily feel their ribs when lightly running your hands along their side, but you shouldn’t see them prominently.

3. When looking down at your puppy, you should see a defined waistline tucked in behind the ribs. A lethargic puppy, has a dull coat, or is failing to gain weight, is underfed.

4. A pup with a round, distended belly and no visible waist is likely overfed. Your veterinarian will track their weight on a growth chart during checkups to ensure they are on target.
